Ratio EV’s io7 pillars have lit up electric vehicle (EV) charging at one of the UK’s leading commercial refrigeration companies.
Staycold Export’s factory in Hawarden, North Wales, now boasts five of our sleek, modern, sustainably designed EV charging units with smart lighting. The drive to select the io7 came from a need for Staycold to offer a visually-appealing, expandable alternative to their existing single EV charger.
Staff and visitors can now use the chargers, which also integrate seamlessly with the site’s existing solar PV system.
The Staycold Export project shows that enhancing sustainability through EV charging doesn’t have to mean prioritising function over form.
Working with Genfit, a Cheshire-based EV installation specialist, Ratio EV installed units which provide both a modern design and appropriate ambient lighting, particularly important due to Staycold’s proximity to an airport.
They’re scalable, so they can grow as the company grows, and offer user-friendly fob access to charging the control system. The solar PV integration means reduced grid dependency too.
Ratio EV works closely with reputable installers to ensure smooth project delivery, and Genfit were no exception.
From initial planning, to collaborative design, to final implementation, Genfit’s previous experience with Staycold helped streamline planning and installation as well as ensure the set-up fully met the client’s needs.
The results speak for themselves:
